Sally Castles
Personal Assistant – Finance and Administration

Sally joined Zircon in 2007 as an Executive Assistant, bringing with her a wide range of administrative and office experience. She provides support to the Directors with invoicing, credit management, diary management, filing, updating spreadsheets and general administrative duties. Sally’s key attributes centre around her flexible, tenacious and helpful nature. She is a valuable asset to the Zircon team and works hard to ensure the finances are well organised, embracing our values through having courage and authenticity.
Working days: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday


Sarah Green
Personal Assistant – Website and Project Management

Sarah joined Zircon in 2008 and has 11 years of office and administration experience, with expertise in designing and maintaining multiple databases. In addition to supporting the Director team with administration, she manages the Zircon website and creates the Newsletters. Sarah’s project management responsibilities involve coordination of timetables, diaries and associate bookings, peer review and proof reading of reports in line with client specifications. Her bright and breezy outlook and friendly approach make her a great addition to the team.

Melissa Tyson, MSc (With Distinction)
Occupational Psychologist

Melissa has recently completed her MSc in Occupational and Organisational Psychology at the University of Surrey, and is due to graduate in spring 2011. Prior to this, she attended Loughborough University and graduated with a First class honours degree in Psychology. During her academic studies, Melissa has conducted both qualitative and quantitative projects in the areas of employee satisfaction and career progression, and ‘me-time’ and its importance for work-life balance and well-being. Furthermore, during her masters, Melissa designed and administered assessments and training, conducted careers development interviews, and developed a practical change management guide. Due to her interest in working environments and her passion for Occupational Psychology, Melissa has sought experience in numerous organisations and industries over the past seven years. She therefore has experience working in utilities, retail, sports and leisure, hospitality, occupational health (NHS), and county council services.

Melissa is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is an Affiliate of The Association of Business Psychologists (ABP), and she is trained in both Level A and Level B (Hogan Personality Inventory) assessment.


Ruth Sweetman, MSc (With Merit)
Occupational Psychologist

Ruth graduated from Cardiff University and the completed her MSc in Occupational Psychology at the University of Surrey. Her dissertation explored Surrey Police Inspectors perspectives of organisational justice dimensions during cuts imposed by the Government during the current recession. The study involved carrying out a multi-method approach using focus groups and questionnaires, and exploring how justice dimensions are important during change management.

Ruth has actively participated in the Occupational Psychology community by volunteering to be a student helper at The Association of Business Psychologists (ABP) Annual Conference 2010 and further volunteered to be on the conference board for 2011. Ruth has built up a wealth of experience in different organisations over eight years around her studies in retail, care work, restaurants and as a trainee occupational therapist.

Ruth is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is an Affiliate of The Association of Business Psychologists (ABP), and she is trained in Level A, Level B and B+ personality assessments.
