Frankie Close BA (Hons). MSc.
Senior Consultant

Frankie has been working in a broad range of HR Consulting roles over the last thirteen years. Most recently, as Lead Consultant at a niche consultancy, where her work involved research into the development of a human capital management audit, which assessed a company’s strategy (costs, risks and impact) in the areas of people risks, leadership, talent management, wellbeing and data. Prior to that Frankie worked as an Account Manager at Ceridian UK and Aon where she gained cross-industry experience, managing projects and programmes in the areas of Performance & Productivity; Employee Health & Wellbeing; Engagement & Presenteeism; Coaching & Training; Leadership Development; and Integrated Healthcare. Clients included Morgan Stanley, EY, Unilever, Serco, Ericsson, DLA Piper, GSK, Xerox and Mars. During this time, Frankie learnt about other aspects of HR transformation, such as outsourcing, technology, benefits and absence management. Frankie is qualified in both ability and personality psychometric testing. She is member of the Association for Business Psychology and the British Psychological Society. She completed a BHons Clinical Psychology in 2004, and an MSc Business Psychology in 2008.


Katie Bissell BSc (Hons). MSc (Dist).
Business Psychologist

Katie joined Zircon in 2012, following the completion of her Msc in Occupational Psychology. Prior to joining Zircon, Katie gained work experience in a variety of roles including working within the NHS mental health services, not-for-profit organisations, customer service and retail, the airline industry and hospitality. Through these work experiences, and her University studies, Katie has assisted individuals to view their work more positively, conducted group training sessions and designed bespoke research materials. Since becoming a part of the Zircon team, Katie has been actively involved in coordinating and delivering projects for numerous clients, including HSBC, Samsung, PRS for Music, EEAST, and UKCES. Katie is involved in a wide range of activities including assessment, development report writing, analysis and calibration of assessment results, and product design. Katie has received training in Level A assessment and is very excited to continually take on challenges within her role.


Dawn Lewis
Senior Consultant

Dawn became part of the Zircon team in 2014, having worked previously as an associate. A skilled Human Resources professional with 15 years experience, Dawn has extensive international generalist experience in a variety of sectors. She has broad employment law knowledge, strategy and change management skills, strengthened by excellent communication skills. Dawn has been responsible for global Human Resource strategy, organisational development, training and development, and change management initiatives for a range of organisations. Dawn holds an MSc in International Human Resources Management and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She is an experienced assessor and interviewer, has BPS Level A Certificates in Occupational Testing.


Christopher King
Management Consultant

A management consultant with 20 years experience in management development recruitment & selection. Chris has had significant international experience, working in most European countries as well as North & South America, India & the Far East. He works in a variety of business sectors, including pharmaceutical, IT, telecommunications, banking, airline & utilities. Chris has been involved with selection and development from graduate level to CEO, spanning small size companies up to multi-billion dollar corporations. Chris holds Level A and Level B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a number of psychometrics which include Hogan, NEO-PIR, Wave, Talent Q, SHL OPQ, 16pf, MBTI, and Gordon’s PPI.


Dirk Murray-Palm Msc
Occupational Psychologist

Dirk has worked as an Organisational Psychologist in a variety of public and private sector organisations, and has extensive experience of working with clients at all levels. He has been involved with designing and delivering assessments for selection and development for several years. Dirk has designed and delivered training courses, mainly in the area of psychometrics, facilitation, group management and interviewer/assessor training. He carried out evaluations of recruitment processes and psychometric tools. His analytical skills are paired with effective use of statistical analysis for validation and market/customer analysis. Dirk interests range from supporting individual learning anddevelopment to cognitive assessments, psychometrics and stakeholder and project management.

Dirk holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology, is Deputy-Convenor of the Training and Development Workgroup of the DOP. He has BPS Level A and B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a number of psychometric personality tests including: The Wave; NEO-PIR; Orpheus/Giotto and EBW.


Phil Cox BSc MBACP CIPD
Executive Coach

Phil is a qualified counsellor, executive coach and learning & development consultant. For over 20 years he has held UK and international HR and Leadership Development roles in a variety of blue-chip organisations; most notably Marks and Spencer, Panasonic, KPMG and PwC.

Phil coaches senior leaders across many sectors, and has a deep understanding of the demands of business. His distinctive coaching process draws on his experiences and learning from the fields of counselling, psychotherapy, individual and group development, and change management. His counselling training, and subsequent practice as an integrative counsellor, means that he brings a psychologically-informed approach to his coaching work. Phil is accredited in the use of a number of psychometric tools including MBTI (Step I), Firo-B, the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode instrument, and 360° feedback tools.


Lauren Albrecht BSc (Hons) MSc (Dist.) MBPsS
Business Psychologist

Lauren joined Zircon in 2015 and has extensive experience in Employee Engagement, Talent Management and Executive Recruitment. Prior to joining Zircon, Lauren was a Research Associate within academia and an Occupational Psychology Consultancy. Examples of Lauren’s past research into Business Psychology include extrapolating the use of the NEO personality test to infer employee instruction following preferences and the validation of high-stakes Situational Judgement Tests.

Lauren achieved a First Class Degree with Honours in BSc Psychology from University of Birmingham and a Masters in Occupational Psychology with Distinction from University of Nottingham, whilst completing work experience at Zircon. She is a Registered Qualified Assistant Test Administrator and Test User with Occupational Ability and Occupational Personality with NEO PI-R. She is also a Graduate member of the British Psychological Society.

Since working with Zircon, Lauren has been actively involved in designing and managing projects for numerous clients within a range of sectors internationally, including Financial, Government, Aviation and Commercial Retail. Such projects include Talent Assessment and Development training, Team Leadership programmes, Decision style and Team assessment tool design, qualitative research to inform an assessment competency framework and facilitation of High Potential Development Centres.


Helen Bradbury BSc (Hons) MSc (Merit) MBPsS
Business Psychologist

Helen joined Zircon in 2016 after having gaining four years’ experience in the Financial Services industry. Most recently she has been working within a consultancy based role where she supported consultants to deliver a large scale Change Management programme for one of the UK’s largest Banks.

Helen achieved an Upper Second Class Degree with Honours in BSc Psychology from University of Chester in 2014. After this, she went on to study a Masters in Organisational Psychology from Manchester Business School. Her research to date has focused on Employee Engagement, Employee Well-being and Leadership. She is a qualified Test User for Occupational Ability and Occupational Personality tools and is a Graduate member of the British Psychological Society.

Since graduating, Helen has had the opportunity to work within a small Management Consultancy. This involved being placed with clients on short term assignments to provide support on change management projects with a number of financial services companies across the UK. During this time she has gained experience in project co-ordination, change management and project planning.


Rose Osemwengie
Intern Psychologist

Rose joined the team in 2016 after successfully securing a year placement with Zircon. She is currently studying for a BSc degree in Applied Psychology at the University of Kent and is working towards a First Class Honours. Prior to working with Zircon, Rose gained extensive experience in customer service and delivery by working directly with customers in retail for two years, and built her psychology profile by volunteering as a Dementia Visitor with Carers Support Organisation at an NHS Hospital.

Rose is actively involved in research, having completed research exploring stereotype threats and stereotype lifts within a clinical environment, in addition to aiding in the administration of research projects. She uses this experience to help facilitate project delivery and white paper research at Zircon, ensuring all documents and reports are in-keeping with the high standards set by the company. Using her knowledge of SPSS and Microsoft Office suites, she is involved in the validation of psychometric scales and aids in the effective organisation of client projects, ensuring their successful administration.

At Zircon, Rose uses creative and innovative thinking to expand on and generate novel research in order to ensure an evidence based foundation to business psychology. She is looking forward to developing her business acumen through this opportunity and establishing professional networks in the British Psychology Society.
