Andy McBurnie BSc (Hons), Msc
Occupational Psychologist

As a practising Applied Psychologist, Andy has extensive experience of working in a variety of public and private sector organisations and has been involved with designing and delivering assessments for selection and development for several years. Andy has a keen interest in personal, team and organisational development and has designed interventions and programmes that incorporate a variety of elements including coaching and assessments. He is also a keen sailor, holding a Yachtmaster Instructor qualification and utilizes this experience to incorporate sailing activities into the development and engagement activities he facilitates. He has designed and delivered training packages, mainly in the area of assessor and interviewer training, and has carried out evaluation of existing training. He is also experienced in utilising statistical analysis for evaluation.

Andy holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology. He has BPS Level A and B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a number of psychometric personality tests including: OPQ; HDS; WAVE; NEO-PIR; 16PF; JTI; 15fQ+; JCA ie and te (Emotional Intelligence).



Frances Thomson MCIM, DipM
Management Consultant

Frances is highly experienced in the area of people performance improvements, having held training and development positions within the international and corporate sector specialising in the skills areas of Customer Relationship Management, Commercial Awareness, Sales, Leadership and Marketing. She is a passionate, high energy, highly motivated person with a unique blend of topic expertise and business acumen. Frances is a full member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds BTEC equivalent NVQ Level 4 as a Trained Assessor using competency based framework, she holds BPS Level A and B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a number of psychometric personality tests.


William Shearer BA, Juris Doctor, FCIPD
Management Consultant

William is an experienced human resources professional, with extensive international experience in Fortune 500 companies at senior level. He has operated at divisional and corporate level, most recently as Divisional HR Vice President for a global energy services company. William worked as a lawyer in both the US and UK before making a mid-career switch to Human Resources. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, admitted as an attorney by the State Bar of Texas and a member of the Law Society of England and Wales. He holds his Level A and Level B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a variety of psychometric tools.


Christopher King
Management Consultant

A management consultant with 20 years experience in management development recruitment & selection. Chris has had significant international experience, working in most European countries as well as North & South America, India & the Far East. He works in a variety of business sectors, including pharmaceutical, IT, telecommunications, banking, airline & utilities. Chris has been involved with selection and development from graduate level to CEO, spanning small size companies up to multi-billion dollar corporations. Chris holds Level A and Level B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a number of psychometrics which include Hogan, NEO-PIR, Wave, Talent Q, SHL OPQ, 16pf, MBTI, and Gordon’s PPI.


Clare Hole Cert British Psychological Society
Management Consultant

Clare is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD) with over ten years Human Resources Experience. She has worked in a variety of both specialist and generalist HR roles within Legal & General Assurance Society. Clare holds her Level A and Level B Certificates of Competence from the British Psychological Society in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a wide variety of psychometric tests.



Dirk Murray-Palm Msc
Occupational Psychologist

Dirk has worked as an Organisational Psychologist in a variety of public and private sector organisations, and has extensive experience of working with clients at all levels. He has been involved with designing and delivering assessments for selection and development for several years. Dirk has designed and delivered training courses, mainly in the area of psychometrics, facilitation, group management and interviewer/assessor training. He carried out evaluations of recruitment processes and psychometric tools. His analytical skills are paired with effective use of statistical analysis for validation and market/customer analysis. Dirk interests range from supporting individual learning anddevelopment to cognitive assessments, psychometrics and stakeholder and project management.

Dirk holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology, is Deputy-Convenor of the Training and Development Workgroup of the DOP. He has BPS Level A and B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a number of psychometric personality tests including: The Wave; NEO-PIR; Orpheus/Giotto and EBW.



Jim Bloomfield
Management Consultant

Jim is an experienced consultant who specialises in the assessment and development of people performance. His projects, a number of which have been international in scope, have included the design and delivery of objective selection processes, facilitation of assessment and development centres, and conducting one-to-one feedback and coaching sessions. Clients he has worked with include HSBC, Lloyds TSB, Nationwide, BT, EMI, DWP, Home Office and E-ON. Jim is Level A and B trained, and accredited to use tools such as OPQ32, Wave, NEO PI-R and Dimensions.



Louise Simpson B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc, C Psychol
Chartered Occupational Psychologist

Louise is a practising Chartered Occupational Psychologist with over 10 years experience. She has predominantly worked in the retail, finance and public sectors. Louise has extensive experience in selection and development system design, performance management and competency profiling. She has also led or been involved in the development of two bespoke tools to aid the development of managers including an online competency and 360-degree feedback system and an online management development programme. Louise is a full member of the Division of Occupational Psychology within the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist. She holds her Level A and Level B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a number of psychometric tools including the OPQ, HPI, 16pf, Firo B, HDS and WAVE.



Jacquie Brazier
Occupational Psychologist

Jacquie is a chartered occupational psychologist (HPC & BPS registered) specialising in executive development and career coaching. Jacquie has worked across business sectors with business owners, public servants, students, middle and senior managers and professionals on wide ranging issues. Her approach to coaching has been described as no nonsense, challenging, solution focussed and practical; she coaches with confidence, conviction, and passion. Specifically she brings insight to and enjoys applying her skills in the areas of : Carer transitioning and leadership development coaching, Performance coaching for executives and senior managers, Overcoming barriers to change, managing relationships, building confidence and resilience, Talent development, assessment/development and outplacement programmes.

Other areas of expertise include assessment and selection, organisational research, team performance and development, competency interviewing and framework development, psychometric profiling and feedback. Previously Jacquie worked as a research fellow and associate tutor in the school of human sciences at the University of Surrey. She is qualified to teach adult and further education. Jacquie is a trustee for a UK based charity ‘Mechanics for Africa’ training young Africans with skills for life.



Debbie Hance CPsychol AFBPsS
Chartered Occupational Psychologist

Debbie is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with more than ten years’ international consulting experience. Since she gained her MSc in Occupational Psychology in 1995 Debbie worked on a wide variety of projects from delivering management-training programmes to designing, facilitating and executing high potential talent assessment. As well as carrying on her work with development centres, covering all the different aspects and stages (e.g., developing competency models, designing exercises, training observers, observing, report writing, feedback and coaching sessions), Debbie has also concentrated on the areas of performance management, training, selection, assessment and executive and career coaching.



Richard Cooper BSc (Hons), MSc
Occupational Psychologist

Richard is a Business Psychologist with over 20 years experience in supporting and improving the performance of large organisations through the development of individuals, teams and effective people processes. He has designed and delivered a large range of projects involving management and leadership development, performance management, selection and assessment and customer service development. With a background in retail management, Richard brings a pragmatic and customer focussed approach to the application of psychology in the work place. With BPS Level A and B Certificates in Occupational Testing, he is trained to use a number of psychometric tests including: 16pf, MBTI, NEO-PI-R, Hogan, OPQ, Firo B and Wave.



Kathryn Mearing BSc (Hons), Msc
Occupational Psychologist

Kathryn is an Occupational Psychologist with a wealth of people management and development experience gained during a 19 year career in FTSE 100 FMCG organisations such as Diageo. Her corporate experience as a senior manager in sales and marketing led organisations equips her with a pragmatic, commercial approach to business psychology. Kathryn has international experience working in a variety of business sectors, and has focused on the following areas: Individual and group assessment techniques for personnel selection and development including the management of high volume assessment centres; Diversity and Inclusion research and best practice guidance; Off-site meeting design and facilitation and Employee opinion surveys. She is also an experienced and popular trainer retained by a major financial sector client as a core member of their in-house training team.

Kathryn is a member of the Division of Occupational Psychology within the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a member of the Association of Business Psychologists (ABP). She holds her Level A and Level B Certificates in Occupational Testing and is qualified to use a wide variety of psychometric tools.


Colleen Addicott CPsychol
Chartered Occupational Psychologist

Colleen, a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, comes with a background in management and business development roles in financial services. She has designed and promotes the Manager Foundations Programme – an innovative and effective approach combining training and coaching for new managers. She works closely with organizations to ensure training and development interventions are productive and tailored to deliver success for individuals and teams. She also has extensive selection and talent profiling experience – designing and delivering assessment and development centres. She holds her level A and level B certificates in Occupational Testing and is trained to use a number of psychometric tools including the OPQ, HPI, HDS, Firo B and WAVE


Tony Draper BA (Hons), MSc, CPsychol, AFBPsS, MCIPD
Chartered Occupational Psychologist

Tony is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with over 15 years consultancy experience. Prior to this he had pursued a career in HR management, reaching divisional director level in a major PLC. He has worked on projects in both the public and private sectors mainly concentrating on management assessment and development, training and organisational and team development. Throughout his career he has enjoyed working with companies seeking to improve performance by implementing change. Tony is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist. He is also a Principal Member of the Association of Business Psychologists and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He holds Level A and Level B certificates in occupational testing.
